Derek Coates received his ACS certified Chemistry degree from Pittsburg State University in December of 2014 and is currently pursuing his Masters in Polymer Chemistry. He brings with him 7 years of experience in industry, working for PBI/Gordon Corporation formulating pesticides, weed killers, and fertilizers. With climate change on the horizon and green chemistry on the rise, Derek is passionate about doing his part to help reduce our carbon footprint. He enjoys helping in his community and currently serves as the President of the Pittsburg Lion’s Club.
