Practical Skills for Emerging Technology   

Workshops and Certificate Programs

National Institute for Materials Advancement is offering a series of one-day, hands-on workshops and five-day certificate programs designed to provide participants with practical knowledge and skills in emerging technologies and advanced manufacturing. 

These programs are designed for community college and university students, CTE instructors, adult learners, career changers, and workforce development participants seeking to develop practical, industry-relevant skills for growing careers in technology and advanced manufacturing.

No previous research or laboratory experience is required. Participants will gain hands-on experience, explore emerging technologies, and develop skills that can strengthen their academic, professional, and career opportunities.

Certificates will be provided to participants who complete either a one-day workshop or a five-day certificate program. The certificate will recognize successful completion of the respective training program.

Incentives will be provided to qualified participants upon successful completion of the workshop or certificate program. Eligibility and incentive amounts may vary by program and participant category.

  1. Introduction to Semiconductor & Advanced Manufacturing Technologies

  1. Battery Manufacturing & Energy Storage Technologies

One-Day Hands-on Workshop

Available Dates:

  • February 5, 2027
  • February 20, 2027

Participants may select one preferred date when completing the registration form.

This workshop introduces participants to battery manufacturing and energy-storage technologies through hands-on activities and demonstrations.
