Dr. Gupta has received numerous research grants (several million dollars) from federal and state agencies such as National Science Foundation (NSF), NSF-Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR), Department of Energy (DoE), Kansas IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (K-INBRE), State of Kansas Polymer Chemistry Initiative, and more. In the fall of 2022, Stanford University named him to the list of the top 2 percent of scientists in the world.
Dr. Gupta has published more than 250 articles in peer-reviewed journals, edited over 35 books, written over 90 book chapters, and presented/attended more than 350 national/international conferences. He is a reviewer for various leading science journals. Dr. Gupta has received several internal (university) and external (National Science Foundation) funding to promote research and educational activities.
