Ric Slater has worked as a technical consultant to the Kansas SBDC (Small Business Development Center) for the past two years. During this time, he advised on solutions for clients on issues and problems related to supply chain issues.
During the previous 32 years, Slater worked at NASA at the Johnson Space Center and held the positions of, IT Business Office Chief, Imagery Branch Chief, IT Security Office Chief, Vendor Management Office Lead, JSC Small Business Specialist in the Office of Procurement, and was project manager over several JSC IT and Imagery center wide projects.
Before coming to NASA, Slater was an instructor for 4 years at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and taught several technical courses, including Statistics of Process Control and Printing Systems Engineering, and the NAVY summer program.
Slater has both a B.S. and M.S. from RIT.
